Meeting with International Coordinators of the pan-European project Winnet 8 within the INTERREG IVC programme, , 05 maja 2010

On 5 May Professor Danuta Hübner had a meeting with Ms. Britt-Marie Torstensson and Ms. Carin Nises, International Coordinators in charge of the project Winnet 8 within the INTERREG IVC programme. The Winnet 8 project (WOMEN IN NET 8) capitalises on the Swedish experience and involves regions in 8 member states (Bulgaria, Finland, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Sweden and UK). The project addresses the problems of low employment rates among women, segregated labour market and lack of women in entrepreneurship, innovation and technology. These problems are obstacles for regional competitiveness. Professor Hübner had supported the creation of the project as Commissioner for Regional Policy. As Chair of the Regional Development Committee, Professor Hübner invited the coordinators and participating parties to present the project as a good practise in the framework of the debate on post-2013 regional policy.
